BEAUTY JAPAN

Silk-like Feel with Japanese Beauty Brand

August 26, 2020

Japanese Beauty – in Japanese 日本の美しさ

Dear Sweetheart,

Today, I will introduce you to one of the most luxurious skin care products in the world, Japanese beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté.

Japanese Beauty

Clé de Peau Beauté means The Key to Skin’s Beauty and helps you to unlock the power of your skin’s radiance from some of the most advanced skin care technologies in the world, Tokyo laboratories.

I discovered the beauty line when I lived in Tokyo, Japan. At that time, I didn’t purchase their products. However, when I came back to Europe, I was curious, and wanted to try their products.

Have you ever tried Clé de Peau Beauté? And if you have, did you like them?

Clé de Peau Beauté is about pro-aging, meaning embracing your age, and the aging process.

Three-step Home Luxury Skin Care Regimen – by Japanese Beauty Brand

Clé de Peau Beauté’s three-step skin care regimen awaken, nurture, and boost your skin intelligence.

@chrisellelim who have used the products for years says:

“Your skin will instantly look brighter and more radiant if you follow the following 3-steps with key radiance care” on a cleansed skin”.

Here are the 3-steps in Clé de Peau Beauté’s Key Radiance Care Ritual:

  • Step 1. Le Sérum. Start with 3 pumps of Le Sérum (apply morning and night). It awakens your skin to absorb the steps to follow and helps to activate it’s regenerative power.
  • Step 2. Hydro-Softening Lotion (for normal to dry skin types)/Hydro-Clarifying Lotion (for normal to oily skin types). Follow with the lotion to nurture your skin. Use soft cotton pads with 3 pumps and glide the lotion onto your skin in wide arcs over the cheeks across the forehead and around the eyes.
  • Step 3. Protective Fortifying Emulsion (for day) \ Intensive Fortifying Emulsion (for night). Lastly, apply the emulsion to boost your skin, a lightweight and nourishing moisturizer. Use two pumps and sweep gently over skin.

If you are going to sleep you can finalize your skin care ritual with a pearl-sized amount of La Crème. Otherwise, I would recommend to apply Clé de Peau Beauté’s lovely award-winning UV Protective Cream SPF 50+.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for reading the post.

XO,

Jeanette

💕 Sashiko Thread 💗

The sashiko thread is different from many embroidery threads.

🍒 It is made by twisting several thin cotton threads together, and has a looser twist, and
🍒 made from long and stable cotton meaning that it is very hard wearing and strong.

The thickness of the Sashiko thread varies.

Thick threads give a soft and rustic feel while thin threads give a delicate and beautiful finish.

Vegetable-dyed treads are popular for their gentle colours. Find your favourite yarn by comparing them.

In the picture you will find some of my favourite Sashiko threads.

To the most left: @sashikostory color #013 - thick and lovely thread
In the middle: @hobbyra_hobbyre color #116 - medium thick, the one I use the most.
To the right side: @ajisaidrop thin and delicate.

With sashiko love,
Jeanette

Dear beautiful 🫶🏻

You might be curious about what Sashiko is.

Sashiko is a Japanese hand sewing technique that was developed in Japan a few centuries ago or as beautifully expressed by Keiko & Atsushi Futatsuya:

"Sashiko is a process of repairing the fabric to repair, strengthen and warm the clothes that the family member will wear"

Sashiko was originally a job for women to repair men's clothing over the winter. Both women and men worked as farmers in the summer. But in winter, men worked in the forest and women repaired the fabric. This practice still exists in some parts of Japan.

💫 My story with Sashiko
I discovered Sashiko one day when I walked into a small hobby shop in our neighborhood in Tokyo. Many Japanese women bought small pieces of white fabrics with printed patterns and also colorful threads. I wondered what they were going to do?

They all had to make small hand-sewn handkerchiefs. I found it fascinating and wanted to try it myself.

After several years of creating small pieces of hand-stitched fabrics using the Japanese needlework technique, I want to share my passion with the world. Because

It is pure bliss. Relaxing. And funny.

Do you also want to try? You can see more about Sashiko in my link in my profile.

Thank you for stopping by 🤎

a sweet summer day with a newly handmade handkerchief for your summer bag 🌞😊

my latest creation is this cute handkerchief / tea towel 🤎

The patten is called ✨花ぐるま ✨which means flower wheels in the Japanese language. Perhaps you also can imagine small “flower wheels” in the pattern !

it took me a while to make it because you have to stitch each flower.

however, the process was fun and rewarding !

do you like this pattern ?
