Dear Sweet Souls,
Today, I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Jeanette (my birthday name), however, I like to call myself Victoria.
When I was a little girl and wrote my assignments in school, I always wrote another name than my birth name on top of my papers. I either wrote Victoria or Amalie. I liked the names, and when I wrote my assignments with one of these names, I felt I could write a better one.
Before I hand over my assignment to the teacher, I, of course, changed my name to Jeanette.
This was my story from my elementary school and up to the university. And yes, even today, I feel like writing Victoria more than Jeanette.
Moving to Germany
My husband and I moved to Germany, Münich for about 1 year ago. Before that, we lived almost 6 years in Tokyo, Japan.
I LOVE Japan, and while I was there I got to know the culture, the language and met new Japanese friends. It was a truly beautiful and special time for me.
Almost every day here in Germany, I think back on my time there. The BEAUTY and KINDNESS I met everywhere were simple so extraordinary and astonishing for me. I wish people in Germany could take some of that with them.
In Japan, you seldom feel that you have to fight for things because people simply always do their best. Also when you go outside you feel safe.
Luckily, we have found a cute new home here in Germany. And I feel very very GRATEFUL.
Wishing you a lovely Sunday.
