a sweet summer day with a newly handmade handkerchief for your summer bag 🌞😊

my latest creation is this cute handkerchief / tea towel 🤎

The patten is called ✨花ぐるま ✨which means flower wheels in the Japanese language. Perhaps you also can imagine small “flower wheels” in the pattern !

it took me a while to make it because you have to stitch each flower.

however, the process was fun and rewarding !

do you like this pattern ?

Hi Beautiful! 💗

It’s my first time to introduce myself here on Instagram. Welcome to my page.

I started this account to share my love for Japanese words and Japan. Today, I still keep posting about Japan.

My husband and I left Japan for nearly two years ago after 6 years in Tokyo. It was a really nice experience for me. It’s therefore my deepest pleasure to share my story from that period of my life. I hope you’re enjoying them too!

I’m born and raised in Denmark, and I have always a passion to discover other cultures. For that reason, I have lived in many countries. Some of them are Hong Kong, Paris and latest Tokyo, Japan).

Now, I’m living in Germany with my husband. We moved here due to his job. Currently, I’m staying at home, blogging, doing Japanese embroidery (sashiko) and doing most of the housework! I really like it, and I hope that I continue to write and spread my passion for Sashiko to the world.

Baking, nature, flowers, and spiritual books are other passions in my life.

If you have any questions to me, or Sashiko please send me a message. I would be delightful to hearing from you. All my love, Jeanette

Happy Tuesday everyone ✨ I am delighted to share my latest Sashiko project with you. It was my first time use a pink fabric 💞. Usually, I use white ones 🤍.

What is Sashiko?
Sashiko is a Japanese needling technique that is developed in Japan for a couple a centuries ago. Or as beautiful worded by @sashi.co

“Sashiko is a process of mending the fabric to repair, strengthen and warmth the garment, which the family member will wear”.
